The entrance to Boots and Saddle is on street level on 106 St between Jasper Avenue and Stoney Plain, with street parking available but metered during daytime hours. The layout of the gay Edmonton club is open plan on two levels with two pool tables, a stage and a bar with few stools otherwise décor is uninteresting. Washroom is kept clean. Menu comprises of a large selection of burgers and toasted sandwiches. Barman was friendly as well as good looking; clientele was of the older crowd and mostly men. Entertainment mostly consists of Drag Shows with dancing at weekends from 9pm. Boots and Saddle is the oldest gay club in Edmonton and when we visited it was not a busy night. Open Monday - Friday at 4, Saturday and Sunday at 3
Buddy’s Night Club

Entrance to Buddies Night Club is off Jasper Avenue and is easy to find because of its bright rainbow flag above the door; parking is on the street and metered. The club is open 7days a week and from 9pm to 2am – 3am serves and has draught beer. The layout of the club is centred around the main bar with another small bar at the back. There are three pool tables, a small stage that is also a dance floor, a variety of Video games, TV monitors and an ATM if you run out of cash. There are plenty of seating throughout and reasonable amount of barstools, washrooms are clean and more that two. Entertainment is varied with plenty of fun promotions including male strippers and the bar staff are friendly and informative. The friendly clientele is mostly men with a young following and on the weekends quite a few straight women.
Woody’s Pub
11723 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton. Ph [780] 488-6557
Located above Buddys right on Jasper Avenue, Woodys Pub is a great spot to relax after work for a few drinks while watching the world rush by on the street below. Sometimes the atmosphere is quite smoky and this can be annoying. Woodys has a long run of happy hour prices before merging with Karaoke Sunday – Wednesday. Open 7 days/week at Noon
The Roost Night Club
This club has been closed since January 2008
Prism Bar and Grill
10524 – 101 St., Edmonton. Ph. [780] 990-0038
This Edmonton lesbian bar is just slightly north of the downtown core, Prism is located across from the Baccarat Casino. Although there is a rainbow sign on the front door, you have to park in the back (where parking is ample). This is Edmonton's #1 bar for lesbians, but don't worry boys, it's very guy friendly.
Edmonton Gay Cruising Area and Edmonton Gay Stroll
Like many other cities the gay cruising areas in Edmonton are washrooms in department stores or malls, parks and cheap movie theatres. Again I recommend you access this site for more information. www.squirt.org

Accommodations
Northern Lights Bed and Breakfast
P.O. Box 515, Edmonton, Ab. T5J 2K1 Ph. [780] 483-1572
Northern Lights B&B has been operating for several years and I have stayed many times and found the hosts friendly, informative and helpful. The house which is a single story is around 30 years old and is located not far from West Edmonton Mall. In the summer the outdoor swimming pool is available and is quite private and guests are welcome to be themselves. The guest rooms are comfortable though not large and either have ensuite bathroom or private bathroom, all rooms come with TV/VCR. Breakfasts are great and well presented.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Northern Lights B&B for your gay and lesbian accommodation while visiting Edmonton
Down Under Bath House
12224 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton. Ph. [780] 482-7960
Located on the Jasper Avenue not far from Buddies, the Down Under Bath House is the newest of Edmonton’s gay bathhouses. The baths are located on the lower level and consists of an area with a hot tub, sauna room, showers, 2 video rooms one smoking the other nonsmoking and a TV lounge. As usual dim lighting and the corridors are created with room dividers and are carpeted. Bathrooms are reasonable with a couple of “Glory Holes”, housekeeping is good and Down Under is well organized and presents special theme nights.
Open 24 hrs and clientele is men only and age range is mixed. Light snacks are available. The rooms are basic, carpeted, clean, with open ceiling protected with chicken wire. Single and Double cots and prices vary from $7.00 and upwards for lockers to $28.00 for rooms. I found the staff efficient and helpful.
Steamers
9668 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton. Ph [780] 422-2581
Edmonton’s oldest gay bathhouse and is located on Jasper Avenue on the East side of down town. Parking is available on the street at night but is metered during the day. As usual the bathhouse is located on the lower level
Rooms that are close to the TV lounge will hear the TV, the quieter rooms are further down the corridor. Amenities consist of two steam rooms and shower room, which are reasonable; the hot tub is on the small size big enough for two big men. The porn room is ok though the TV lounge is basic and snacks are limited. Clientele is gay and bisexual men, more towards the older side.
Steamworks
11745 – Jasper Avenue, Edmonton. Ph [780] 451-5554
The newest Edmonton bath house for Edmonton Gay and Bisexual men.
