American Automobile Association
I am very proud to be an official listed property with the AAA/CAA organization and being rated 3 Diamonds. Calgary Westways has an annual evaluation that is conducted by trained AAA/CAA inspector in a consistent, universal high standard. To be an official listed property, a bed and breakfast has to have a minimum of 4 guest bedrooms, smaller properties are not eligible. “Canada Select” properties may have just one room and that B&B may be rated 4 stars. It is easier for a B&B with one guest room to have a high star rating than a B&B with 4 or more guest bedrooms.

Canada Select

This Canadian rating organization for the hospitality industry is very popular with the B&B industry as there isn’t a minimum number requirement for guest bedrooms. Inspections are conducted once every two years and are provided by a provincial association. Here in Alberta it is the Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association, which has the responsibility to provide evaluations for the Canada Select program.
